This might be the cause:

[20:58:40:776200 +01:00] [Thread 8532] extDB3: MariaDBConnectorException: altislife: Access denied for user ''@'localhost' to database 'altislife'

it's in your extDB3 log.

Also in your exDB3 config, the password field is blank.

Username = arma3
Password =
Database = altislife

I have put a password and it still does not work. I do not understand what may have happened.

Does the password you set match that of the database?

Where else do I have to enter the password?

Are you using a server host (Host Havoc, Vilayer, etc) or are you hosting it on your pc/localhost?

If you are using a server host they should provide you with the database username and password. Whereas if you are hosting it from your PC/localhost you will need to set up a database and use its username and password.

---

Server host instructions:

Go to your control panel and find a button labeled "Database info", "Show database info", etc.

when clicked it should show something along the lines of:

-- PHPMyAdmin Link --
158.**.***.** */phpmyadmin
-- Database Information --
Host: 158.**.***.** *
User: ***
Password: ***
Database Name: ***
The script has executed successfully. You may close this window.

Go into your exDB3 config and replace

[altislife]
IP = 127.0.0.1
Port = 3306
Username = arma3
Password =
Database = altislife

with

[altislife]
IP = database IP
Port = 3306 (leave as is or change to database port)
Username = database username
Password = database password
Database = database name

Then save your exDB3 config and attempt to run your server.

-----

To set up a local host database I recomend following the GitHub instructions

I'm using a local database. I am following the tutorial and when loading altislife.sql I can not find where I should put the password. I could not find where to put the password, so look at the altislife.sql of the link that you put and I saw that they were not the same, mine did not have the part to put the passwordSo I changed my altislife.sql, I also installed mariadb instead of using xampp and it still does not work

Client RPT: https://pastebin.com/hVNzKv8i

altislife.sql: https://pastebin.com/WcU0dGPM

extdb3 config: https://pastebin.com/V4qY7U5d

extdb log: https://pastebin.com/FNaS45y4

heidisql info: https://gyazo.com/f4d3510367b663f739f81311e5402c5e

I do not like this, I do not understand how it does not work

Try connecting to the MariaDB server in HeidiSQL on the server using 127.0.0.1 as the address and your arma3 user. If it doesn't work, you know the account is the issue.

Just now, imthatguyhere said:

I would delete that Arma3 account and recreate it then with more permissions for localhost.

How can I do that?

As your root user:

DROP USER 'arma3'@'localhost';
CREATE USER IF NOT EXISTS `arma3`@`localhost` IDENTIFIED BY 'changeme';
GRANT SELECT, UPDATE, INSERT, EXECUTE ON `altislife`.* TO 'arma3'@'localhost';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

(Make sure to change the password from "changeme" before running that).

FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

What? You shouldn't edit the file to do that, you just execute those lines. Open a new query, paste that in, run it. Then try the extDB3 thing again with the new password in the config and see what it says. Make sure you read the output from heidiSQL after executing to see if there are any errors.

I have executed it and it has not given me any warning.
